…JANE MERROW
Hello and thank you for visiting this site, I hope you enjoy learning a bit more about me and reading some blogs about my thoughts and experiences in the entertainment industry.
I have been very lucky with my career, starting work as soon as I left RADA, in 1960, one of the best known drama schools in the world. My first job was as ASM and understudy in a major London production of Toys in the Attic. I was invited to play Lorna Doone for a BBC production and my career continued from there. My career included appearances in The Saint, Danger Man, Gideon’s Way, The Prisoner etc. In 1968 I played Alais in The Lion in Winter playing opposite Peter O’Toole, Katharine Hepburn, Anthony Hopkins, Nigel Terry, John Castle and Timothy Dalton. I was nominated for a Golden Globe award for that performance. What an amazing experience it was.

I moved to the USA and worked in the US for many years working in television shows, including Magnum, The Incredible Hulk, The Six Million Dollar Man, Mannix, Mission Impossible and others. In !992 I moved back to the UK to take ovet a family business. I continued to work as an actor, while running the business and returned to the US in 2011, whem my third grandchild was born. Now I divide my time between both countries.
A recent film The Haunting of Margam Castle was made in the UK. And a short movie I wrote and produced Andy was also made in the UK. After over 60 years in the business, I am still as passionate about it as ever. In addition to Andy I have adapted and produced several short films , with horror stories written by some of the great writers, which heve been edited into one feature length film New Chilling Tales – the Anthology., currently streaming on Amazon Prime and Mubi.

My UK team and I would like to develop Andy, into a feature length movie. It is about an important subject – AI androids, resembling humans working and living among us. Useful development yes? Dangerous development ? yes in my opinion. However funding full length features is hard! A real uphill battle.

My career has continued now many years and if you are interested you can take a
look at most of my work on IMDB.com.
